Obituary for Florent "Flo" Vaillancourt

VAILLANCOURT, Florent “Flo” - 1953-2013 - Flo passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He lost the battle at his residence with his loving family by his side on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at the age of 59 years. Beloved husband of 37 years to Debbie (nee Soucie), devoted Dad to Chantal (Ken Belanger) and Jason (Lise), and very special pepere to Emma, Alexie and Rylan Belanger and Devon Yvanna Vaillancourt. Dear brother of Monique (Robert Laferriere), Leon Vaillancourt (Gina) and Julie (Ron Major) all of North Bay. Predeceased by his parents Marcel and Annette Vaillancourt, brother Daniel (Debbie Vaillancourt -surviving) and sister Lucie Gravelle (Edgar - surviving). He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. He touched the lives of so many through his many years operating True Centre Muffler "Thruway" and through his happiest times, entertaining, laughing and mostly DANCING. Flo will always be loved, never forgotten and sadly missed by so many, "Until We Meet Again." Visitation at the

on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Columbkille’s Cathedral, Pembroke on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at 11 a.m., followed by cremation. Members of Knights of Columbus, Council 1531 are requested to meet at the funeral home for prayers on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Pembroke Regional Hospital MRI Fund would be appreciated.
