LAROUCHE, Damien (Lash) Lawrence - MCpl (Ret’d), Korean War Veteran, Retired Canadian Forces, Soldier and Musician, served in Gagetown, Korea, Cyprus, Germany and Petawawa. Former member of 3 Mechanized Commando of the Canadian Airborne Regiment, 1st and 2nd Battalion Black Watch, and 1 and 3 RCR. Suddenly at home on Friday, May 2nd, 2014 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Lillian Larouche (nee Scott). Loved father of Charles Larouche (Janice) of Calgary, AB; Lance Larouche (Sandra) of Sprucegrove, AB; and predeceased by daughter Lana Larouche. Loved friend and father figure to Paul Flanagan and Karen Sandford of Minnesville, NS. Loving and devoted grandfather to Kelly, Scott, Zachary, Jessica, Scott, Emma, Jenny (deceased), Brandon, Showna, Satie, and great grandchildren Anika, Joshua, Damien and Bella. Beloved papa to Stevie Sandford and Stephanie, Ryan and Kolton O’Keefe. Dear brother to Stanley Larouche (Cecile) of Azilda, ON; Dan Larouche (Mary) of Little Current, ON; Joseph Larouche (Bev) of Torrence, ON; Vernon Larouche (Muriel, deceased) of Milton, ON; and predeceased by sisters Veronica Chisholm, Bernice Phillips and Geraldine Larouche. Damien will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to share their memories of Damien (Lash) with his family during visitation at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke on Tuesday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and reception later at the Branch 72, Royal Canadian Legion, 202 Pembroke St. East, Pembroke, ON. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date in Little Current, ON.
