MCCOOL, Helen - Peacefully at Marianhill on Friday, September 12th, 2014 in her 90th year. Helen McCool (nee Donnelly) of Pembroke “Retired Register Nurse of the Pembroke General Hospital”, beloved wife of the late James McCool. Loving mother of Joseph McCool of Pembroke, John McCool of Ottawa, Ann McCool (Phil Smalec) of Santa Monica, CA, Eddie McCool (Marian) of Brantford, Brian McCool of Pembroke and Donna McCool (Dr. Phillip Key) of Billings, MT. Caring grandmother of Jamie, Katie (Ernie Meggison) and TJ (Renee). Caring great grandmother of Reid and Emma. Dear sister of Eileen Gribbon (the late Alec), Rita Dockeray (Jack), John Donnelly (Donna), Gilbert Donnelly (Betty) and Pat Donnelly (Lilly). Predeceased by son Danny, by parents JB and Hortense Donnelly (nee Sullivan), by brothers M.J. Donnelly (Mary Jane) and Andrew (Zita) Donnelly, by sisters Mabel Rini (Leonard), Margaret Maloney (Joseph), Rose Rowley (Jack) and Mary Theresa (the late Stanley) Wiacek. Visitation at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke on Monday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkille’s Cathedral, Pembroke on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Pembroke Regional Hospital MRI Fund would be appreciated.
