GUERARD, Jean - Died suddenly at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 in her 97th year. Jean Guerard (nee Pullar) of Kanata (since 2013) and formerly of Pembroke, was born in Middlesex, England, youngest daughter of David and Amy Pullar. She came to Canada as the “war bride” of Thomas (Ned) Thibodeau in 1944. They lived in Moncton, NB and Dartmouth, NS, moving to Pembroke in 1964 and residing for many years at 177 Garden St. Jean worked in the insurance business in Pembroke until her retirement. She was predeceased by her first husband in 1968, and her second husband, Roger Guerard in 2002. Jean is survived by three children, Anne Simpson (Montreal); Michael Thibodeau (Germaine), Leamington and David Thibodeau (Cynthia), Kanata; six grandchildren, David, Kingsville, Suzanne, River Denys, NS, Dawn, McAllen, TX, Leigh, Kanata, Chris, Toronto and Bob, Montreal, a favorite niece, Pat (Bernie) Trepanier, Ottawa; and seven great grandchildren. Cremation has already taken place and a memorial service will be held in Pembroke at a later date. Arrangements by the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke.
