GAUTHIER, Thomas Hector - Retired postmaster and Volunteer Fireman - Longtime Member of Branch 72, Royal Canadian Legion - It is with profound sadness, after a courageous battle with cancer, we announce the passing of Tom Gauthier on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Judy Gauthier (nee Murphy). Loving father of Sherry (the late Robert) McMillan and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Andrews. Special popa to Kayla (Brandon Jackson) and Jaden McMillan, and Jared, Blake and Livia Andrews. Dear brother-in-law to Opal (Jack) Rosamond, Wanda Nameth, Jim (Judy) Murphy, Rhea Haché, Barbara (the late Jim) Colborne and Pearl (Ron) Hoffman. Dear nephew of Sister Rita Gauthier, S.C.O., Elsie (Rick) Powers, Lorraine (the late Frank) Godin, Simone (Dan) Stewart, and Ron (Ruby) Gauthier. Predeceased by parents Isadore and Audrey Gauthier (nee Gareau), by grandparents Hector and Marjorie Gareau, and Thomas and Lieta Gauthier, by brothers-in-law Joseph Pappin, Kenneth (Pauline) Pappin and Garry Murphy, and by sisters-in-law Lorraine Luhrs, Pam Confiant and Dianne (Sam) Coffey. Respecting Tom’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Columbkille’s Cathedral, Pembroke on Saturday, June 27th, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment of Ashes in St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the MS Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or the Pembroke Regional Hospital, MRI Fund would be appreciated.
