Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Genevieve Mary Layman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

LAYMAN, Genevieve Mary “Lulu” - Peacefully at Marianhill on Monday, July 13th, 2015 in her 80th year. Genevieve Mary Layman (nee Turcotte) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Ralph Layman. Loving mother of Joyce (the late Murray) Hack of Pembroke, Joey (Brenda) of Pembroke, Willard (Anita) of Pembroke, Helen (Adam) Williams of Englehart and Tracy (Jason) Hardwick of Petawawa. Loving grandmother of Evelyn, George, Lorna, Teresa and Pamela, Julie-Ann, Kayla, Codie, Jacob, Chelsea and Nathan. Dear sister of Gerald (the late Eileen) of Kingston, Aldonat “Tootsie” (the late Gordon) Wagner of South Porcupine and Geneva “Mickey” (the late Leonard) Prange of Petawawa. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Minnie Turcotte (nee Deschamps), by sisters Marguerite (the late William) Brisson, Florence (the late Louis) St. Louis, Violet (the late Vincent) Turcotte and Evelyn (Eugene) Turcotte, and by brothers Ernest (the late Cliff) Jr., Samuel (Agnes), Wallace (Estie) and Donat “Buck” (Marion) Turcotte. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Respecting Genevie Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at St. Columba’s Cemetery on Thursday, July 16th, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
