The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Philias Gauthier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Irene and family, our deepest condolences go out to all of you. Since knowing your family all my life, I have remembered some of the best times of sharing it with you all. Phil was one of my best teachers in chording to a fiddler. He would never see me stuck for a fiddle player for a show. He was one of those guys you tried to be like. He will be sadly missed, but has given us lots of fond memories and fun times to remember.

Condolence: Irene and family:

So sorry to hear about Phil. He was a very gifted and traditional old time fiddler. I remember Phil and Irene from my early days of going to all the fiddle & stepdance contests in the 70's through the late 90's and early 2000's. My parents, Madeline & Asa Ostrom went to Ireland with Phil and Irene in 1990, with Art Jamieson and Emille Giroux. What stories they told me about this trip. We all treasure our good times and good memories.

God Bless;

I am sure that Phil's fiddle is playing from heaven tonight over Pembroke contestants
