Omer was a positive influence on so many people that he and Reina provided employment opportunities and friendship to.He had a friendly, welcoming greeting to all that he came across whether it was at 5:00 AM when he was unexpectedly at the store to make sure the night shift had everything ready for the day or while customers were shopping and he was facing shelves...which was often. He knew and imparted on many the importance of hard work and compassion to his fellow man. Rest in peace Mr.Moncion you have earned it.

Condolence: J’aimerais offrir mes plus sincères condoléances à tous les membres de la famille d’Omer et de Reina Moncion qui ont tous fait partie des grands moments de bonheur qui ont marqué le temps des fêtes de mon enfance. Beaucoup plus tard, dans les dernières années de ma carrière, la vie m’a ramené à quelques reprises dans la région de Pembroke. Comme je portais toujours le patronyme de Moncion, on m’a souvent demandé si je faisais partie de cette grande famille de gens généreux qui contribuaient, par leurs dons assidus, au programme des petits déjeuners des écoles de la région. Je reconnaissais, dans ce geste, la générosité profonde d’Omer et des siens et ce souci particulier, à celui qui avait été enfant pendant les années de la Grande dépression, d’assurer une alimentation de base à tous et à toutes. À la mémoire d’Omer, nous ajouterons et dédierons un érable à sucre à la plantation d’arbres que nous avons commencée en 2010, sur notre ferme du sud de l’Ontario.

Going to work with him never felt like work at all ,it was always nice to be around his dynamic personality . He was very funny and wise. He keeps a special place in my heart. May God give the family the strength to get through this difficult time.

Condolence: I was extremely sad to hear about the passing of Mr. Moncion but know that he is in a happy place with his lovely wife who has been saving a place for him in heaven. I worked with Mr. And Mrs. Moncion about 30 years ago in the garden Centre outside of their store in the East end. They were truly two of the nicest people to work with. Always saying hello and asking how your day was going. Pembroke has certainly lost a great couple that will be missed. My sincerest sympathies go out to the entire Moncion family.

Condolence: Omer was such a nice man. I used to work at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar and he was always pleasant when he came in for gas, in the winter he would plow a little bit if we needed it on his way out of the parking lot. I have a feeling it wasn't just us who witnessed his random acts of kindness. My condolences to his family and friends.

Condolence: Our sympathy and condolences goes to all the family, it is a sad and difficult time in our lives when we mourn the loss of a parent as i did many years ago, a big family we had when my mom passed and your dad Omer showed up at our door with boxes of groceries for our family, not a selfish bone in his body, Omer and reina served people everyday back then with a hugh smile and say hello to everyone, it made people feel like they didn't look down at people who were less fortunate than others. your mom and dad are at last reunited.
