We have fond memories of Carl's assistance to us with our family and property when we first moved to the B-Line, Anna and Kelley babysitting our young children, Myles and David helping with chores and us developing a friendship with your whole family. He was a true gentleman ,a man of the soil like so many of our Irish forefathers,and a God fearing family man.Carl's generation knew the 'hard times' and from that he knew the value of an honest day's work and so passed on this concept to his children and for that alone you should be so grateful. His love of sports was also something he deeded to his children and grandchildren. I still recall trying to get a word in with Dan in that regard during his visits to my office....You will all miss him and we share your sorry but should be so proud of the legacy that he left behind in each and everyone of you. Condolence: Dear Dawna and children and families, As I watched Carl gradually slip slowly away from all of you and his human body leave the church bench I felt what you were all going through and all I could do was pray. He was a pillar of the church community and will be sorely missed. I remember when my boys were little talking about this huge man they met with the big hands (whose family had so much food because they lived on a farm with fresh air) doing hard work making him so big. They often spoke of Carl with great respect and amazement. That was my first description of Carl who I had not met at the time. Carl you have accomplished what you were sent here to do. You have a wonderful family you had to be proud of. I will miss seeing you in the church bench and our greetings and laughter on the way in or on the way out. You were a pillar to look up to and now it is your turn to look down at us. May you rest in peace. You have done a great job in your earthly dwelling. To the family you have been blessed to have such a steadfast home and family not all can cherish such a memory. Memories keep your loved ones close and heal you as time moves forward.
