LEVESQUE, Rita - Surrounded by the love of her family at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 in her 96th year. Rita Lena Levesque (nee Malo) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Gabriel Levesque. Cherished mother of Maurice (Lynne), Jean-Guy (Geraldine), Solange (Jean) and Alfred (Angie). Special grandmother of Pierre (Josee), Daniel (Nancy), Eric (Melanie), Scott (Selena), Reid (Andrea), Amanda (Matt) and Adam (Chelsey). Caring great grandmother of Vincent, Olivier, Felix, Marianne, Mathieu, Nicholas, Zoe, Allie, Hunter and Carter. Dear sister of Delima Tremblay (the late Roland), Laurent and Rachel St. Jacques (the late Donald). Predeceased by her parents Alfred Malo and Adelia Ladouceur, by her brothers Remi (the late Dorina), Leo and Rejean, and by her daughters-in-law Joan and Jane. Rita dearly loved children and was a foster mother for many years. She was an active member of the Federation Des Femmes Canadiennes Francaises since its beginning in 1941. Her main interests were quilting and participating in activities at Centre Lajoie and St. Jean Baptiste Parish. on Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Pembroke on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 at 11 a.m. Spring Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, Fort Coulonge.
