Obituary for Margaret "Jean" Conroy (McKay)

Margaret "Jean" Conroy (McKay)
CONROY, Margaret Jean - Our beloved Jean passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 at the Brantford General Hospital. She moved to Pembroke, 48 years ago with the love of her life, the late Robert James (RJ) Conroy, and her cherished family. To Jeannie, her home and heart will always be in Pembroke. Jeannie’s spirit and kind heart live on in her beloved children Michael (Donna), Terry, and Debbie (Gerry). She adored her grandchildren and they adored her. Her memory will be kept alive in Craig (Jessie), Chelsey, Shannon (Ryan) and Kyle (Becca). She was a proud great grandmother to Taylor, Sophia, Sydney and Madison. Jeannie lived for her family. She taught them the importance of cherishing friendships and getting involved in your community. She spent her summers on the golf course and winters in the curling club. Her passion for sport has been carried on through her children and grandchildren. Jeannie was loved by all. She touched many hearts during her 89 years with us and she will be deeply missed. When you ask friends and family what they will remember most about Jeannie, you will get a few responses...her smile, her quick wit, her heart, her strength. Most will say, her legendary buttertarts. Respecting Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during visitation at the
