KNOTT, Teresa Catherine (nee Sammon) - Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 at her Kingston home shared with her daughter Christine for the past seven years. Embraced by her three daughters, her death was what she had prayed for: peaceful, quiet and surrounded by love. Loving wife of the late Reginald (Reg, d 2003). Devoted and loving mother of Catherine (David) Blakely of Ottawa, Stephen (Anne) of Petawawa, Suzanne of Bath and Christine of Kingston. Proud Grandma to Tania (David) of Ottawa, Jamie (Laura, daughter Amillia) of Petawawa, Jonathon (Krista) of Ottawa, Jennifer (Daryl) of Manotick, Christina (Rob) of Fort Saskatchewan AB, and Michael of Ottawa. Big Momma to great grandchildren Trista, Liam, Peyton, Connor, Logan, Dawson, Collins and Brayden. Mom was the last surviving family member of Joseph Patrick Sammon and Catherine Agatha Gribbon. Predeceased by sisters Flora, Kathleen and Maureen, by brothers D’Arcy, Merrill, Leonard (Rev), Jack and Gary, and by great grandchild Emma Rose. Mom was always grateful for all blessings and will be lovingly remembered by family, friends and caregivers for her generosity, patience, humility, grace and above all humour. Mom’s faith sustained her throughout her life. Her strength and will remained unyielding during recent years of illness. Her parting words to a caregiver or visitor were always “Thank you for everything”. Teresa was past President of the Pembroke General Hospital Auxiliary and received the Provincial Life Membership Award. She was also a long time member of the Catholics Women’s League and worked to support the establishment and early years of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Visitation at the

on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Pembroke on Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery Pembroke. Mom received excellent Palliative Care at home. In memory of Mom and for the excellent care she received, donations can be offered to either: Queen’s Palliative Medicine Program c/o Dr. D. Dudgeon (Division Chair) 34 Barrie St. Kingston ON. K7L 3J7; or to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Rehabilitation Program c/o Dr. D. Timpson (Chief of Rehabilitation) 705 MacKay St. Pembroke ON. K8A 1G8. We are forever grateful to Mom’s long-term caregivers, Barb, Sharon and Ann; St. Elizabeth nurses Jacqui and Brandy and PSW Natasha. A tremendous gratitude to Palliative Medicine Physicians Drs.
