The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Martha Hammel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I am sorry for your loss. My condolences.
I completely agree with Debbie's tribute. And to add to what she has said, Matt was an amazing woman. I remember a strong, hard working, independent woman who made the best roast beef I ever ate and the best home made sauerkraut I ever tasted out of a wooden barrel. She not only was hard working, she knew how to laugh and have a good time with family. She had a very big heart, which sometimes she hid behind some stern advice. Some of the best times I had as a kid were at Matt and Melvin's place getting into trouble with Susie, Val, and Kevin.
Tonight I will light a candle and say a prayer in Matt's honour and for her family because I know she believed.
