Condolence: Bill and family, I remember when Emily first started to not feel well. It was the morning of a CWL meeting in Pet. She fought a fight like no other all these years and I kept her in my prayers. I phoned her often in the beginning and many times she was unable to come to the phone. It has been a while since we had contact. The last time was at a funeral at the Holy Name. Emily and Bill contributed a lot of time and energy to the CWL and we had a lot of fun. Her opinions and her beliefs were strong and powerful and she called me on several occasions to let me know she approved of my articles in the paper. She was proud of her family and loved them with all her heart. I always enjoyed her at the CWL and missed her dearly when she became sick. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you as you lay her to rest. She fought a good fight and is finally at peace. Patricia Costey-Henry and the Kruger family

Condolence: Emily was a good friend to many, and a popular and prominent figure in Girouxville, back in the day. She and her husband, Bill, were instrumental in organizing the West End Girouxville reunion seventeen years ago, and it was the success that it was because of their interest and enthusiasm. Every time someone from the old neighbourhood dies, a piece of history dies with them. And Emily made a lot of history. Rest In Peace, Emily.
