Obituary for Jacqueline Habraken (Mainville)

Jacqueline Habraken (Mainville)
HABRAKEN, Jacqueline - Peacefully at Ottawa Hospital, General Campus on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 in her 74th year. Jacqueline Habraken (nee Mainville) was born on the farm on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1944 in Demers Centre/ Chapeau Quebec. Working at the Club Grill in Pembroke Ontario, she caught the eye of her knight with a shining paint-brush, John Habraken. Married on October 17, 1964, Jackie and John together lovingly raised their family on Ken Avenue near Shady Nook/Pembroke. Their home was always filled with music. Jackie and John were the perfect dance partners; each step and stride gentle and synchronized with each other, a perfect metaphor for the life they built. Jackie spent her final years in Ottawa close to her sister, her children and grandchildren. Loving mother of Maurice (Angela), Joanne (Michael) Cassidy and Valerie (Martha). Caring grandmother of William, Emily, Katie, Alec, Zoe, Jack, and Gabrielle. Dear sister of Noella (Clarence Lehman) of Orleans and Gerard (Trudy) Veaudry of Greenwood. Predeceased by her husband John, her parents Armantine (née Lair), and Zephirin Mainville, step father Oscar Veaudry, and her brother Jean-Robert Veaudry (Cathi). Respecting Jackie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday December 16, 2017 from 1-3 pm at the
