Obituary for James Donald Sloan

James Donald Sloan
SLOAN, James Donald “Jim” - It is with profound sadness and a broken heart that we announce the death of James Donald Sloan, retired Police Sergeant with The City of Pembroke on June 11th, following a courageous battle with cancer. Jim passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family. Jim Sloan of Pembroke, beloved husband of Paula Neville. Proud father of Warren (Maria) and Everett (Stephanie). Grandfather of Mikko. Dear brother of Brian (Bev), Bill, Pat (Myra), Bob (Cathy) and Susan (Larry). He will be missed by his in-laws Lorne and Theresa Neville, Carrie (Dan), Lawrence (Rick), Tracie (Andrew), Chris (Nancy), and Patrick (Shannon). Jimmy will especially be missed by his many nieces, nephews, longtime good friends and the whole Neville family. Predeceased by parents Gerald and Eva Sloan. He will be fondly remembered for his generous spirit, boundless energy and joyful enthusiasm for everything he did. He was a “jack of all trades “ and was quick to share his many talents, always helping family and friends. He proudly served his community as he strongly believed in giving back. An avid and skilled hockey player, Jim was heavily invested and dedicated to The Pembroke Lumber Kings Organization. Visitation at the
