Condolence: To all the Sloan family our deepest condolences go out to you. Jim was a great person, always with a smile, always ready for a chat, always in good spirit no matter what was going on in and out of uniform. He was one friendly policemen who was welcoming, no one ever had to fear him like some others. He was one of a few that didn't use his power against others.
Anytime I met him be it at church, Pembroke memorial center, or on the street he was always a friendly guy with a twinkle in his eye and a kind word.
We have all lost a great man who achieved his status by being a nice person.
He will be sorely missed.
I will keep you in my prayers as you journey alone in your grief even though you all will grieve for different reasons and different lengths of time until the black hole fades and only the memories are left to hold onto.
