Condolence: Condolences to Father Chabot’s family. He was a wonderful friend for 50 years, full of encouragement, kindness and humour. Our family will miss his smiling face and will try to honour his memory by putting smiles on the faces of others. May God bless his journey.

Condolence: On behalf of Helen Barkley (nee Chabot) and Don Chabot and families prayers and condolences are offered in memory of Father Howard. Helen and Don (surviving children of Howard's uncle Joseph Chabot) 1st cousins to father Howard are saddened by his passing. He will be missed by all who knew him and may he rest in peace with the Lord.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Fr Chabot's passing, We have known him for over 35 yrs, since he was in Arnprior. He sure was a truly remarkable and respected person. He even officiated my daughters wedding 14 yrs ago. He will be sorely missed. RIP Father

Condolence: Father Howard Chabot was a genuine human being and an authentic Priest. He had a great heart for all God's people - especially the poor, the sick and the suffering. Only Our Lord knows how many persons, how many families and youth, Father Howard helped throughout his Priestly ministry. He was extremely kind and approachable to anyone in need. Father Howard was, himself, no stranger to suffering - physical, mental, emotional, existential. Sadly, in his later years - when he was wrongfully maligned - he experienced the incomparable sorrow of being rejected by many. Throughout this terrible ordeal, Father remained patient, loving and faithful. Father Howard loved life and knew how to have a good time! His friends in the Priesthood loved to be in his presence. Good jokes and hearty laughs were in the works! Father will be greatly missed by his loving family, his Priest-friends, and the many ordinary people who benefitted from Father's presence, his guidance, and his sincere friendship. Rest in the Peace of your Lord, dear friend!

Condolence: We are a little bit broke right now. Father Chabot was a big part of our family. There is a void that no one could ever replace. He was one of a kind. We created many, many memories that we will keep close to our hearts for many years to come. May he rest in peace. God Bless, Father.

Those were some great years when you and Fr Mac were our parish priests at Holy Name. You brought Jesus to many people with your wise advice and in light hearted laughs!
