Obituary for Margaret Louise Snair (Carmody)

SNAIR, Margaret Louise (nee Carmody) - Peacefully at Saint Patrick's Home, Ottawa on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 in her 86th year. Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Margaret was born in Pembroke and raised in Camp Petawawa. Naturally in that environment she met and fell in love with a handsome serviceman, Leo Snair. The life of a service wife was one of constant moves and separations. Margaret lived in Germany, Oromocto New Brunswick, Calgary Alberta, and Ottawa. Through all those moves Margaret and Leo produced six children. Widowed at a very young age Margaret raised her children in Ottawa and then moved back to Pembroke to care for her mom. Margaret was diagnosed with MS at a young age and met those challenges with some tears but a lot of laughter. Margaret lived the life of the average wife and mother, nothing special or exciting but to her family she was very special and remarkable. She is greatly missed by her children Maureen (Earl), Daniel, Patrick, Colleen (Bob), Shawn (Diesa) and Leo (Jennifer) and her grandson Nick. Predeceased by brothers Lawrence, Gerald and Bill Carmody, and by sisters Maureen Overton, Constance Carmody and Mary Sabourin. The family will receive relatives and friends at the
