Obituary for Celia "Penny" Higson (Romain)
HIGSON (Romain), Celia “Penny” - passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, with her husband and son by her side, at 12:10 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2022 at the age of 63 years.
Penny Higson of Petawawa, beloved wife and best friend of Larry Romain, and wonderful mother of James Higson. Baby sister to Danny Higson, Donna Higson, Brenda Hewer (Mike), Mona Jawort (Kevin), JoAnne Higson and Brad Higson (Karen). She will also be missed by her nephews Shane Normey (M.L.), Stephen Romain (Cindy) and Nathan Romain (Jen), as well as her many great-nieces and nephews and cousins alike.
She was a wonderful, kind soul who only cared about others and will truly be missed. Her greatest joys were her cat Monkey, going fishing and just being in the forest, looking for animals and being out at the camp. We have lost a legend on Earth, but Heaven has gained an angel.
Respecting Penny’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Neville Funeral Home, Pembroke.
