Obituary for Elsie Marie Power (Gauthier)
POWER, Elsie Marie - Peacefully surrounded by love and family at Marianhill on Wednesday, March 2, in her 91st year. Elsie Marie Power (nee Gauthier) of Pembroke, beloved wife of Richard (Rick) Power. Loving mother of Richard Andrechek (Sonja Roks), Michael Andrechek (JoAnne), Donna White (David), Deborah Magahay (Paul), James Andrechek, (Beverly), Gerald Andrechek (Heidi Kraehling), and Donald Andrechek (Kristal). Loving stepmother to Carol Ann Power (Leighton Stephenson). Caring grandmother of Kendall, Dana, Luke, Charlotte, Connie, Jeremy, Shawn, Alexandra, Liam, Jesse, Jennica, Chelsea, Faythe, Joseph. Sadly missed by numerous great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lorraine Godin (the late Francis), and Ronald (Ruby) Gauthier. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Leda Gauthier (nee Pleau), brothers Russell (the late Viola), Leonard (the late Florence), Isidore (the late Audrey), Joseph (the late Gloria), Theophile (the late Rae), and Peter (the late Bea) and by sisters, Sister Rita Gauthier, S.C.O., Lillian (the late Paul Pelletier), and Simone Schroeder (Daniel Stewart).
Elsie loved life and will be remembered for her many passions, including singing and dancing, She had a competitive nature, especially in horseshoes. Everyone wanted to be her partner. She was a fun loving person, had an infectious smile, great sense of humour, and was always a joy to be around. A loving mother, spouse and friend, she leaves us with endless memories.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke, on Sunday, March 6 from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 7 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Pembroke ON at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. Interment of Ashes will be in St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke at a later date. In memory of Elsie, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario would be appreciated.
