ADAM, G.R. - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gaitan R. Adam at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doreen Adam (nee LeBlanc), his sons Brian (Donna) of Victoria, BC and Joey Adam of Whitelake, his sister Gisele Leblanc of Whitby, his brother Claude (Noreen) Adam of Renfrew, and his sisters-in-law of Sr. Rachelle Leblanc, FDLS of Ottawa, Eleonore and Roland Rochon of North Bay and Isabel Leblanc of Beachburg. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Louisa Adam (nee Perrault), by sisters Simone (Lionel) Amyotte, Cecile (Andre) Leblanc, Rachel (Roger) Rainville and Melba (Renaldo) Graveline, and by brothers Guy (Mabel) and Rheaume Adam. G.R. owned and operated a business in Pembroke for over 50 years; he enjoyed working and helping others. Family and friends were very important to him. Gaitan was so proud of his two sons Brian and Joey. Loved them dearly, and was always ready to help them in any way he could. He appreciated all of his nieces and nephews, especially Denise Patry, Maurice Lacroix, Mike and Denise Zabloski and Helen Gilchrist. He will be sadly missed by his walking buddies Mike Lampkin and Jacques Chevrette. You were always there for him. G.R., your great generosity, integrity and kindness will be missed by all. Respecting G.R's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lapasse on Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at 2 p.m. Interment of Ashes in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Lapasse. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of the Pembroke Hospital’s ICU unit for their compassion and care.
