Obituary for George Boretos

It is with deep sadness that our beloved George Boretos passed away on August 10th, 2020 at 53 years old. His family is devastated and heart broken by his passing. George is predeceased by his beloved mother Eleni, father Nicholas Boretos, and his cherished aunt and uncle Maria and Ted Tsotsos. George is survived by his loving sister, Soula Burrell, first cousins; Joanne Tsotsos, Cathy Quattrocchi, Katerina Vlitas, Adoni Vlitas, Petro Vlitas, Tessie Boretos, Dina Boretos, his uncle Pano Vlitas, and his loving niece and nephews; Eleni, Theo, Neikko, and Lucas.

George was bigger than life and his heart was even bigger. He truly lived everyday to the absolute fullest and was an example to everyone on how to keep on going. He was the light of every room he walked into. He was a proud Greek-Canadian who always stood up for the needy, the elderly and his family. George loved education and reveled in having conversations about politics and life issues with such passion. Although he his body has left this world his spirit will always be here with us.
