Obituary for Jacqueline Yvette McHugh (Ouellette)

MCHUGH, Jacqueline Yvette (nee Ouellette) - Passed away peacefully with her loving daughter and granddaughter by her side at Marianhill on Monday, March 29th, 2021 in her 84th year. Jacqueline is predeceased by her husband William “Bill” McHugh, by her daughter Lorie Ann (Tim) McHugh, by her parents Leo and Ethel Ouellette (nee Gardiner), by her sisters Jeanette and Claudette, and by her brothers Ronald and Raymond. She is survived by her sister Shirley Dorscher, California, by her daughter Nicole (Ken) Brown, and by her grandchildren Brandon (Tera) and Taylor. In 1959 Jackie married the love of her life Bill and together they shared 2 beautiful girls Lorie and Nicole. Jacqueline taught Grade 2 and kinder garden at St. Jean Baptiste School for over 35 years. She was blessed with a gift... the gift of being an amazing teacher and incredible mentor. Jacqueline played a huge role in shaping the lives of many of her students. Every time her 2 grandchildren mentioned who their grandmother was... Mme McHugh, someone would always say... “She was my favourite teacher. She always gave me a hug and made me feel better.” Everywhere Jackie went, she went in style. Hair makeup and clothing always done to perfection. Her vivacious personality and incredible laugh could be heard from every room. Especially when she played Euchre at the cottage with the McHugh boys and the the Godin clan. Jacqueline will always be remembered and forever missed by her sister Shirley, her brothers and sisters in-law, her many nieces and nephews, and by her close longtime friends. Despite everything, her grandchildren Brandon and Taylor were her everything. Although they will miss their Nanna dearly, she is finally going home with Poppa Bill, aunt Lorie and our Heavenly Father. May she rest in peace. We love you! Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation.
