I would like to offer my condolences to Peter's family. I met Peter in 1990 when I was recording a German cemetery in Hagarty Township. Peter welcomed me into his beautiful home on Trout Lake, and was very generous with his time, spending hours interpreting and translating old German script from the church registers and cemetery. He was incredibly helpful.
