HONKE, Russell Derlin “Russ” - January 14th, 1953 - May 15th, 2020 - Russ spent his life long haul trucking and has completed his journey. It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Russell Honke of Petawawa at the Ottawa Hospital - Civic Campus on Friday, May 15th, 2020 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Carla Moore-Honke. Loving father of Jenna. Predeceased parents Wilfred and Julia Honke (nee Davis). He will be sadly missed by his sister Heather (the late George) Paitin, by brother Derek (Michelle), by mother-in-law Jacqueline (the late Fred) Moore, by sister-in-law Janice (Rick) Erickson, and by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Your trucker buddies will miss you as your CB has gone silent. You will be greatly missed by your partner in crime and wonderful friend Kim. As per Russ’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In memory of Russ donations to the Ottawa Hospital - Civic Campus, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Vincent Hospital would be appreciated.
