Obituary for Sister Maureen Taylor

Sister Maureen Taylor, a Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, Pembroke, ON, died in Pembroke on the 22nd day of September in the 72nd year of Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community, her sister, Eleanor Molgano, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Loyola (Keane), and her brothers, William, Donald, Dalton, Gerald, Edward and Frank, as well as her sisters, Myrna Ann and Loyola Kerwin. Sister Maureen was born in Ottawa on January 20th, 1929. She entered the Community on September 8th, 1948, pronouncing final vows on August 6, 1953. An office and business worker by profession, she served, for three years, in the General Hospital, Sault Ste Marie, after which she moved to the Motherhouse Business Office, and in 2006 to the Grey Sisters' Caritas Residence where, for many years, she continued her ministry for the GSIC finance and business department. Visitation at Caritas Residence, 215 Deacon Street, Pembroke, ON., on Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m., followed by sharing of memories. Funeral Liturgy will take place in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Columba Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Neville Funeral Home.
