THORLEY, Thomas - Korean Veteran - Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, February 1st, 2021 in his 93rd year. Thomas Thorley of Pembroke, beloved husband of the late Christena Thorley (nee MacDonald). Loving father of Jo-Anne (Mark) Cusack and Paul Thorley. Caring Grandfather to David (Carolyn), Erin, Olivia and Julia. Caring great grandfather of Ronan and Lily. Predeceased by his parents George and Lynnie (nee Willock), by brother Kenneth and by sister Gladys. Tom joined the British Army as a boy soldier at 171/2. He served in Austria, Hong Kong and Korea. He then went on to serve in the Canadian Army for 33 years. His further tours of Alert NWT, 2 tours of Cyprus and Germany broadened his appreciation for history. He often amazed his family with historical facts. This served him well as historian and Sergeant at Arms of Pembroke Legion No. 72. He was very proud of being a member of the Legion and the Korean Veteran’s Association. He is deeply missed. The family will receive relatives and friends at the
