CAUGHEY, Jean Mary Marjorie - Peacefully at Miramichi Lodge with family and her parish priest present on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the forever young age of 93. Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband David (Mac) Caughey of 62 years on January 20, 2011. Loving mother of Mary (Dick) Edwards, Patricia (Peter) Elliott, Thomas (Bea) Caughey. Caring Granny to Katie Edwards-Ethier (Nick), Erin Edwards (Brian Swann), Sarah Elliott (Chris Matthews), Christopher (Alicia) Elliott. Proud and loving great-granny Jean to Tanner, Riley, and Maverick Matthews, and Henorah and Amelia Swann. Predeceased by her loving parents Ernest and Margaret Meindl (nee Hurteau), who were always and forever in her heart. The family would like to thank the staff of 3A at Miramichi Lodge for making her stay there so peaceful. They always treated her like family and we will forever remember that she was so well cared for. As well the family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Manor where she resided for several years. Jean spent many years with Mac at their beloved cottage in Sheenboro on the shores of the Ottawa River. Now, Jean and Mac, can continue their fishing adventures together protecting their "secret hole" on the river. Visitation at the

on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Pembroke on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 at 2 p.m. Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Lodge Foundation would be appreciated.
