Obituary for Marguerite Bertola (Jones)

Marguerite Bertola (Jones)
BERTOLA, Marguerite - It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Marguerite Bertola (née Jones) November 24th, 1927 - September 25th, 2017. Predeceased by husband Danilo Bertola, parents Thomas and Marguerite Jones and brother Clarence Jones. Dear sister of Jeannette McKay (the late Ivan), Pamella Poitras (the late Gilles), Pauline Rodgers (Frank) and brother Brian Jones. Special Great-Aunt to Bo and Olivia Charette. Dear aunt and great-aunt to several nieces and nephews, and a true friend to many. For over 25 years, she was the sole owner/operator of Marguerite's Beauty Salon. Lovingly known as Maggie, she enjoyed spending time with family. She devoted much of her life to helping others and she did so with a smile and positive attitude. She had a love for old Hollywood movies and actors, a passion for reading, gardening and traveling. Auntie Marguerite was an angel that was sent to us here on earth. We will forever be thankful for her beautiful light - for the joy, the laughter, and the love she radiated and brought to all. It is said that our guardian angel Michael will rescue us from harm, comfort us in times of need, and help us find our way home. So to you, our Sweet Marguerite, who treated us with unconditional love, shown us goodwill in charity, and who above all others, was always available to comfort and console us, may you "Find Your Way Home". Respecting Marguerite's wishes, cremation has taken place. Her life will be honoured and celebrated by a funeral mass at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Pembroke, on Saturday, October 7th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to be determined at a later date – all are welcome to attend.
